Russia to conduct migration amnesty for Kyrgyz citizens
On The eve of Russian president Vladimir Putin's state visit to Kyrgyzstan, the Russian side decided to hold a "migration amnesty" for the citizens of the Kyrgyz REPUBLIC. This is reported by the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Russia.
"Migration Amnesty allows Kyrgyz citizens who are in Russia in violation of migration laws to freely leave the Russian Federation before April 22, 2019 and enter the country (at any time) without administrative liability.
Information about this was provided to the Kyrgyz side by Valentina Kazakova, head of the Main Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, March 21. The Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic calls on the Kyrgyz people to take advantage of the "amnesty".
According to the State Migration Service of Kyrgyzstan, today there are more than 710 thousand citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic in labor migration. Of these, more than 640,000 are in the Russian Federation.
The state visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Kyrgyzstan is scheduled for March 28, 2019.
